Marjo de Rond-kemper became interested in fashion, literature and architecture at a very young age. The agricultural background of her parents stimulated her passion for landscape and gardening, which is revealed most of all in her watercolours.
After an education at the Constantijn Huijgens Academy in Kampen, Marjo devoted her inspiration to ornamental design. Though her brass with enamel neck-chains, bracelets, rings and earrings are mainly inspired by archaic cultures, they show originality and wilfulness.
Marjo’s portraits expire a unique atmosphere. She prefers working with unpretentious materials like pencil, colour-pencil and watercolour, but despite knows to establish an evident artistic power.
